Established in the 1800's, Duke Farms began when our family settled this land for farming and ranching. Generations later, that same love for country life, family tradition, and honest hard work continues today.
At Duke Farms, we proudly raise Jack Russell Terriers with care, love, and respect for the breed. Our puppies are raised in a farm setting where they can grow into healthy, confident, well-socialized companions with the intelligence, loyalty, courage, and spirited personality Jack Russells are known for.

My Story
A Journey of Second Chances
My name is David Duke Griffin and I am owner of Duke Farms Jack Russell Terriers.. Duke Farms is built on a legacy that traces back to 1860, rooted deep in the soil of our family ranch in Lampasas, Texas. Growing up here, raising livestock in 4-H and FFA, and attending the First United Methodist Church, I was taught foundational values that define who I am today: to treat others the way I wish to be treated, to lead with kindness, and to always respect my elders. For over thirty years, my life was dedicated to serving others during their most difficult moments as a licensed funeral director and embalmer, a career I entered after graduating from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. But life rarely follows a straight line. I have faced my own share of struggles, made mistakes, and at one point, lost everything. Returning home to Lampasas, I found myself standing at a crossroads, deeply needing a second chance at life.

Finding Purpose in Four Legs
In that season of starting over, I turned to raising Jack Russell Terriers as a hobby. I didn't know it then, but these small dogs with massive hearts were exactly what I needed. Witnessing their remarkable intelligence, fierce loyalty, and vibrant spirits completely transformed my world. They didn't care about the past; they simply offered unconditional love. They became my family, giving me a profound second chance and a renewed sense of meaning. Every day, they show me what true devotion looks like—always waiting eagerly for my return, reminding me that everyone deserves a loyal companion by their side. Duke Farms is no longer just a hobby; it is a passion born from gratitude. My mission now is to share these incredible terriers with others, helping families find the same unconditional joy and friendship that saved me.
